Tasks for Administrators

System administrators are responsible for defining how the SingleCopy application looks and behaves when all other users are working with it. The Systems menu contains four main areas that administrators configure – Data Setup, System Log, Device Management and Security. There is also a menu item called “Version Information” that displays the history of installations and patches for SingleCopy.
 

These menu items expand to display the specific areas that can be configured by administrators.

Figure1 shows all the functions under each area:  

 


 

All initial configurations are completed under the System Administration menu, which is displayed when you click System from the Command menu. After the system has been configured, these functions are accessed occasionally to make required updates, such as add or delete users and groups, or update security permissions. 

NOTE: Since the System Administration area controls how the application looks and behaves, it is recommended that only a select group of users have access to this area.
