Using System Alerts to receive Draw Check & Manifest Check notifications

Draw Check Criteria

A stored procedure has been created to check whether Draw exists for a given date.  The process will check tomorrow's date if a date is not specified.

A configuration property has been added to skip the draw check if the date that is being checked has been added as an Exception Date of a specified type.  The configuration property allows you to specify the Exception Date Type that should be skipped (e.g. Holiday).

The process will check to see if a draw import file has been processed for all Publications that are active and for which the Check Date is a publishing day.  In the image below, the publishing dates are Monday thru Friday.  If a draw file has not been imported, an error will be logged to the System Log.

If a draw file has been processed, the process will check the Draw Totals for the Publication and Date.  If the Draw is 0, an error will be logged to the System Log

Manifest Check Criteria

A stored procedure has been created to check whether Finalized Manifests exists for a given date.  The process will check tomorrow's date if a date is not specified.

As with the draw check, the manifest check will be skipped if an Exception Date of the specified type is added for a given date.

The process will check to see if the manifest finalizer has run for a given date by checking the System Log.  If the finalizer has not run and no manifests exists, an error will be logged to the System Log.

If the finalizer has run, but no manifests exists, an error will be logged to the System Log.

System Alerts

Users that would like to receive email alerts must have an email address configured.  Users can set an email address by clicking on their Username on the banner and then selecting Change Contact Options.  The User will need to Add a new email address if one does not exist and check the Include Address in Alerts option.  If an email address already exists, click on the email address and check the Include Address in Alerts option.  The User will need to have permissions to System Maintenance to receive alerts.

Administrators can set email addresses for Users by Editing the User and clicking on the Edit Email button.
